Kamen Rider OOO vs Quad City DJs – Anything Slams

For those of you who may or may not be aware, there is a thing on the internet known as Slam remixes (Or ‘Quad City Djs vs.’). These involve taking Space Jam by Quad City Djs and paring it up in remix with another song, usually of a nerdy bent. For some reason this always works out to sound AMAZING. Also, as is common knowledge here I have a tradition of trying to provide extra content when I’ve been late on my recaps. And I’ve been late a few times lately!

So by means of apology after the jump there’s a remix I’ve found recently of one of the all time greatest Kamen Rider theme songs, “Anything Goes” from Kamen Rider OOO!

Kamen Rider Gaim Review

It’s probably unsurprising that I have been watching the latest Kamen Rider, and for those of you who may or may not be aware it has just come to a close. That being said, I think it’s a perfect time for a review! I’m going to attempt to avoid spoilers here, as much as possible.

Very interesting… Though honestly it’s not the first time he’s talked about his experiences as Kuuga this is still an intriguing insight into his thoughts none the less.

For years, rumors have circulated about Joe Odagiri, Kamen Rider Kuuga, and his reported negative feelings on towards the show. While on King’s Brunch, a late morning and afternoon news talk show on the Japanese channel TBS, he was questioned about his role on Kuuga and finally revealed his true opinion.

Heisei Rider Vs. Shōwa Rider Update! Some wonderful links!

First of all, a little programming note. To fit my schedule better I’m going to be moving my Kuuga Recaps to Saturdays. This week might be a little later because I was on vacation but we shall see.

But, to cover you all for Friday I wanted to be sure everyone got the following link!

That link is to where you can vote for who will win the Heisei Rider Vs. Shōwa Rider movie that’s coming out March 29th! Also, how cool is it that they got the domain ‘superhero-battle’? I mean, you’d think someone else would’ve snatched that up by now…

As of posting there’s over a million votes for each side, and Shōwa currently has the lead. I will admit I voted for Heisei because while Shōwa is definitely fun, I just have more affection for the Riders I first got hooked on and that would be the Heisei era.

No Kuuga This Week – Enjoy a Trailer Instead!

Due to some personal issues, I have been unable to do a Kuuga recap this week. I will pick things back up next Friday on my usual schedule, and apologize for the inconvenience.

Though it’s not much, just so I’m not leaving you guys totally without Kamen Rider this week why not check out this trailer for the upcoming Kamen Rider Wars movie?

It’s titled Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider Wars featuring Super Sentai, and yes, it is going to have all 15 Showa era riders fight against all 15 Heisei era riders, plus some of the secondary riders and some Sentai heroes to boot. It is going to be nuts and it is premiering at the end of March, so… yeah I’ll give it something of a more detailed post later.

An Introduction to Kamen Rider

Well, for those of you visiting here. Welcome! Clearly you have nothing better to do with your life than learn about Kamen Rider. And don’t think I mean that as an insult. If there’s one thing most people could stand to learn a little bit more about, it’s Kamen Rider. I find modern standardized testing sorely lacking in tests to help kids identify whether the Kaijin they’re up against is a Gurongi or a Fangire. And heaven help if our kids have to assert which core medals form which combos.

But that’s why I’m here to help! Thanks to this fancy new thing called ‘The Internet’, Kamen Rider Recap is able to deliver to you all you could ever need, hope, or want to know about these great and noble heroes. So, let’s get started!
